something BluE

On May 8th 2018 Mariska Martina presented her debut EP "Something Blue" performing on stage with her quintet. Produced by renowned writer and UK musician Roddy Matthews and recorded at Perry Vale Studio's by Pat Collier, the EP showcases the diversity of Mariska Martina's sound. The launch was held at Toulouse Lautrec (London, UK). The night was opened for Mariska Martina by musical comedian Olliver Matthews.

Tied Together

On September 23rd 2018, Mariska Martina released her first single ‘Tied Together’, which was especially written for upcoming Amazon Prime Show ‘Mafia Ties’. The track was produced and co-written by Roddy Matthews and recorded by JB Pillon at Buffalo Studios in London. The track features Richard Blenkinsop on guitar, Luigi Riganese on bass, Liam Burton on piano and Mariska herself on cello. ‘Tied Together’ is available on Spotify, Deezer, iTunes and all other online music streaming services.

Mafia Ties (produced and directed by John Wilson) is available now on Amazon Prime.

On April 29th 2019 Mariska Martina released her second EP. The EP contains four timeless jazz standards and featured the talents of among others Dave O’Higgins and Harisson Cole. The EP was recorded at Perry Vale Studios and coproduced by pianist Liam Burton. Oblique Life Magazine called it a ‘classy and jazzy affair.’

After a beautiful launch at Toulouse Lautrec, Mariska Martina released a series of live videos of the event on Youtube.

 

Feathers

On November 3rd 2019, Mariska Martina released her third EP.
‘Feathers’ is an ode to mental health and self-love. 100% of the proceeds (amounting to £600) of the launch at O’Neill’s Wardour Street went to MIND UK. The launch featured the talents of Francisco Ianuzzi, Funmi Adewale, BBC New Voice’s candidate Carl Chamberlain, as well as Mariska Martina accompanied by a five-piece band.

Ear To The Ground Music said about ‘Love Isn’t Enough’: ”It’s poppy, energetic, hopeful, and full of sweet chord structures and a feel good style.” and said that ‘Uncover Your Heart’ was “The kind of song that you want to share with your friends and loved ones.”

Less Than 250 said about the EP: “Pick a song off her new EP ‘Feathers’, ingest it and feel the warmth trickle down into every crevice of your soul.”

The EP was also featured on Songland and Lefuturewave.
